Pfaelzer Brothers
Back in 1923, everyone in Chicago wanted to have dinner with Monroe, Elhard and Leonard
Pfaelzer. Or to be more precise, with their exceptional meats. One taste explained it all.
The beef was carefully aged, the pork remarkably tender, and the lamb purely succulent. No
wonder the brothers soon outgrew their horse-drawn wagon. A lot has changed in the last 76
years. But the Pfaelzer Brothers are still welcome at any table. That's because we
understand your gift or special occasion deserves the ultimate taste. Our pursuit of
perfection begins with America's finest corn and grain-fed beef. Our experts are so
demanding that only 5 in 100 are good enough to be
Pfaelzer Brothers Premium Quality Steaks. Then, they're naturally aged for up to 21 days,
and hand-trimmed by our Master Burchers. Finally, each steak is flash frozen within
moments after final trimming, and vacuum sealed to lock in the flavor. We're even
perfectionists when it comes to delivery, as our rich elegant gift packaging proves. We
guarantee that you will be absolutely delighted with every purchase, or we will gladly
give you a full refund, credit, or exchange. |
TABASCO's Country Store
Good day, my friend. My name is Raymond Broussard, and I'm a local historian of sorts. At
least on the subject of TABASCO, the fiery brand of hot pepper sauce
whose story began right down here in south Louisiana and is now chronicled throughout the
world.I first learned about TABASCO sauce many years
ago from my dear friend, Edward Avery McIlhenny or "Mr. Ned," as we
affectionately called him. It was his father, Edmund McIlhenny, who created the first
TABASCO sauce, and Mr. Ned carried on the secret recipe and family tradition.
I'm still close to the McIlhenny family; I guess you can
call me the resident TABASCO expert. The truth is, I love to tell stories about the early
days of this famous hot sauce from where the pepper plants originated to how the
very first batch of TABASCO sauce was made.
I remember visiting Avery Island many times as a boy, and
again, years later, after Mr. Ned fulfilled his passion for exotic plants with the
extraordinary Jungle Gardens. This beautiful Island is my home now, and I busy myself by
passing on the legend of TABASCO to curious visitors like you. I welcome questions, and
some of the answers may surprise you. The TABASCO story is quite a tale, after all. Let me
tell you about the time..... |
